Rebuild Day 1

After the first restoration meeting last night, a work list was established and allocated to Club members.

The work list is available at: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=peco1tG75cTnEaGcEdbrcdA&hl=en

Items on this work list are to be addressed before the next meeting, scheduled for Wednesday 4 March at 6:30pm, once again at Codexa. On Wednesday evening, we will begin (and hopefully finish) removing the engine from the chassis to allow for a thorough examination of the rear bay, chassis, suspension and engine.

Following the engine-out procedure on Wednesday evening, a "Busy Bee" has been scheduled for Sunday 8 March (time yet to be sorted). Hopefully with the majority of items on the work list addressed, and the engine removed from the chassis, minor repair and restoration work of many of the subsystems can begin in earnest.

Introduction

After the pillaging of the 2006 UWAM Formula SAE vehicle to construct the 2007 and 2008 vehicles, the recently formed UWAM Alumni Club has decided to embark on the restoration of the 2006 vehicle to its former glory. With the facilities of Codexa available to Club members until the end of March, a rapid reconstruction will take replace, not unlike the original assembly phase in November 2006.

Stay tuned to this blog for updates and pictures of the restoration. This blog is likely to be used as the main source of contact for the Club members during the restoration, so all official work lists and correspondence will be available on this site for any interested observers from within the UWAM/FSAE community and beyond.
